Overview:
Sunset Vista is a 13,234-square-foot new-build residence located in Mesa, AZ. Designed in a European farmhouse style, this home’s aesthetic and layout were developed through close collaboration with the main designer, Hansen Design Firm. The project involved creating construction documents, refining exterior and interior concepts, and producing renderings to guide the design process.
Project Goals:
The clients sought comprehensive support to translate their vision into a buildable and visually engaging home. They needed a detailed 3D model, construction documents, multiple design options, and renderings that would inform both the exterior presentation and interior atmosphere. The objective was to achieve a timeless European farmhouse look, as well as incorporate unique elements like curved roofs and an indoor sport court.
Design and Implementation:
Sunset Vista’s design focused on harmonizing traditional farmhouse influences with modern functionality. The great room and kitchen layout serves as a focal point, balancing comfort and style. The inclusion of curved rooflines introduces character, while the attached indoor sport court adds a distinctive feature that enhances recreation and entertainment. Throughout the process, the team developed 3D models to illustrate changes, ensuring that the clients and the designer could visualize each adjustment before finalizing decisions.
Working in conjunction with Hansen Design Firm, the modeling and drafting were completed by Michael, while Heather Hansen led the design direction. The 3D presentations and interactive review sessions with the client allowed for thoughtful refinements. This approach ensured that every detail—from roofline proportions to interior finishes—was well-integrated.
