Choosing a house direction is overwhelming. And most people guess.
Most custom home clients don’t actually know where to start. They:
Browse plans and inspiration
Debate layouts and styles
Worry about views, slope, and privacy
Wonder if they’ll regret early decisions
The problem isn’t a lack of ideas.
The problem is a lack of certainty.
This study exists to replace guessing with confidence.
Before committing to full custom home design or locking into a plan, we help you answer the
questions that shape everything that comes after.
We create a digital twin of your actual land, place real home options on it, and show you what
works, what doesn’t, and why.
No floor plan commitment. No permits. No pressure.
Just clarity.
You don’t need a plan. You’ll either:
Choose 1–3 homes from our gallery that feel right in style and scale
Already have a plan from online or a builder?
We’ll fully model it in 3D and test it on your land as part of this study.
Ask us to explore clean-slate massing options
These are test models—not final designs.
We visit your lot and collect all site data ourselves.
No survey needed. No prep required.
We explore:
Placement and rotation
Slope response and walkout potential
Driveway logic
Privacy and exposure
How the home interacts with views
We test what works and what doesn’t
You’ll view realistic, eye-level perspectives from:
Living room
Kitchen
Primary bedroom
Deck or patio
This is where decisions become obvious.
You receive:
A concise summary of what works and what doesn’t
A recorded walkthrough
A 30-minute review call
You leave knowing exactly how to move forward.
Everything below is included in the $1,495 study.
Aerial Data Collection & 3D Terrain Model
(Understand your land before design begins)
Home Test-Fit & Orientation Options
(See which direction actually works on your site)
Sun Study
(Understand light, warmth, and exposure across seasons)
Interior View Proofs
(See what you’ll actually see from inside the home)
Recorded Walkthrough Video
(Clear explanation of what works and what doesn’t)
30-Minute Review Call & Collaboration
(Confirm the right direction before moving forward)
Optional builder handoff summary
(Get at least 3 recommended builders for your situation)
This study pays for itself the moment it prevents a wrong turn.
Common outcomes include:
“Flip the house to capture the view”
“Rotate 20 degrees to gain privacy and daylight”
“This lot clearly wants a walkout”
“The garage needs to move for the driveway to work”
These are small decisions with massive downstream impact.
A real mistake this study helped avoid.
You own land or are under contract on a specific lot
Views, slope, or orientation meaningfully impact your build
You’re considering a plan but aren’t 100% confident it’s right
You want to reduce expensive redesign later
You prefer to make major decisions once, not twice
Your lot is flat and orientation or views are not a concern
You only want permit drawings
You’re not planning to build in the foreseeable future
We are a Utah-based custom home design studio.
This study is how we help clients make smart early decisions before full custom design begins.
We schedule the drone flight and handle everything.
You do not need to fully own it yet, but you should either own it or be under contract. This study works best when you are actively planning to build on a specific property.
That’s completely fine. You can choose from our gallery of home models, or we can 3D model a plan you found online, or we can explore massing options to determine what type of home works best on your land.
No. We collect the site data we need through a drone flight. A formal survey is typically required later for permitting and construction documents.
After the review call, you can move forward into full custom home design, share the findings with a builder, or pause until you are ready to proceed.
No. This is a decision study that comes before full custom design. Its purpose is to clarify direction before detailed design work begins.
Because early directional decisions about orientation, slope response, and views are the most expensive to change later. This study reduces that risk before larger design commitments are made.
