Q: Do I need to own the lot?
You do not need to fully close yet, but this works best when you either own the lot or are under
contract on a specific property.
Q: What if I already bought a house plan online?
That’s completely fine. As part of this study, we will fully model your plan in 3D and test it on
your lot before you commit to full design.
Q: Is this full custom home design?
No. This is the decision study that comes before full design. Its purpose is to clarify direction
while major choices are still easy to change.
Q: Do I need a survey?
No. We collect the site data we need using a drone. A formal survey is typically required later for
permitting and construction documents.
Q: What happens after the study?
You can move forward into full custom home design with BKV, use the findings to guide your
next steps, or pause until you are ready.
Q: What if I use another designer later?
